I started painting lessons approximately five years ago because I wanted to paint pansies on my pine dining room table. Two years later I discovered “pen & ink & oil rouging” when I took a seminar with Mary at the Paint in Niagara show. Needless to say, I was hooked.
I took Mary’s certification course in October, 2001 and became certified in June, 2002 after assisting Mary at a seminar here in Canada.
My fervent wish is to design my own patterns. I am also a quilter and would like to develop patterns along this line.
I am the treasurer of the Niagara Association of Decorative Artists (NADA) and membership chairman of The Quilting Friends.
I would not have come this far without the support and encouragement of my husband Ray. Special thanks also to Kim Bokma of Heart & Home, my first decorative artist “instructor”.
