My name is Ilona Annis and along with my partner Patricia Annis, run a traveling art class business called Just The 2 Of Us

I am a self-taught artist with no formal art training with the exception of art classes taken throughout high school. Although I have tried other mediums, such as oil, and acrylic painting, my specialty has become pen and ink. Ever since I can remember, I have loved to create "pretty" things. While I was in high school, my favorite subject was "Art."

I took my first pen and ink oil rouging class from Mary Owens. My daughter had invited me to go to class with her to "try it out." I was very apprehensive of going and was full of doubts that I could ever really paint anything on a canvas. But Mary gave me the reassurance I needed to go on with it.

I ink on fabric, watercolor paper, wood, canvas, tin, glass, slate, and many other background choices.
I feel lucky to find myself at this stage of my life doing what I love most, painting. Art gives meaning to my life, and keeps me sane.
