My exciting adventure into painting started in 1990 taking ceramics at the Ceramic Hut in Port Colborne. My
desire to always learn new things and also incorporate it into my ceramics, I started taking decorative painting from Kim Bokma at Heart and Home in Wainfleet. Kim encouraged me to take pen and ink and oil roughing with Mary Owens at the Niagara Paint In. I immediately became hooked with the technique. This led to several classes with Mary when she was in the area. My Christmas and birthday gifts have now become pen & ink and oil roughing, glass etching and more creative ceramics much to the delight of my family and friends. In order to pass on my excitement for the technique to others, I took Mary Owens Certification program in September 2001. I completed my certification in June 2002 helping Mary at her workshop at Heart and Home in Wainfleet.
I am planning to share my excitement and knowledge to others in the near future.
