My husband and I have lived in Pembroke, Ontario since 1980.  Pembroke is located approximately 150 km. north of Ottawa.  We have three grown daughters, Rebecca, Jill and Amanda,  and one grandson, Riley.

In the early 1990s I decided to take a tole painting class, and for the next several years I concentrated on acrylic painting.  Approximately three years ago I attended an open house and one of the class pieces was very different and unique.  It was one of Mary Owens’ designs that had been converted to acrylics.  Needless to say, I attended that class, and decided that I definitely wanted to continue working on Mary’s Pen and Ink and Oil Rouging.  I enjoyed the technique so much that I knew I had to learn as much as I could about it.  The following year, in June, 2001, I went to Wisconsin and attended Mary’s five day certification course.  I then attended a 2 day seminar in Brockville, Ontario, where I assisted Mary, and completed my certification.  I am now fully qualified to teach Mary’s Pen and Ink and Oil Rouging designs.

I am offering local classes in Pembroke, Ontario, and I am also available to travel teach.  I have access to all Mary’s products and pattern packets and I also have full knowledge in the use and handling of the KopyArt Opaque Projector.
