This design was penciled onto the etched tile instead of inked! You do not have to use a pencil if you don't want to; it would look great in pen and ink, and then rouged! The reason I decided to use a regular graphite pencil was the end result. The pencil lines were softer and it gave a really muted look to the design. After I completed the pencil lines, I sprayed it well so nothing smudged as I was completing the rouging. As always; feel free to adapt this to any size as well as surface choice.
