My husband, Tom and I have lived in
Leduc, Alberta for the past 20 years. We have two grown children
and two grandchildren.
I was introduced to Folk Art in
January 2003 and quickly this became my new passion.
I attended Paint in Alberta in August
2003 and was unable to get into one of Mary Owens's classes and
was very disappointed especially after seeing the projects that
the beginners were producing. I knew then and there that this
was something that I really wanted to do.
Mary was offering her last open
certification program in Seattle in November 2003 and I
immediately registered to attend. I found Mary's technique to be
so much fun and rewarding that I knew that I could teach this
technique and have fun doing so.
When I came back from Seattle, I
called Cindi and made arrangements to complete my certification at
Pookie Bear's Den at Leesburg, Florida which after completion I
was advised that I had completed my certification.
I now teach Mary's technique at my
home studio as well as travel teaching.
