Donna Dunn 1993 Player Circle South Melbourne, FL 32935 (321) 259-7097 Ddone42@aol.com
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa. After high school I moved to Alexandria, Va., where I met Tom Dunn. He had been in the Air Force for 6 years and was making it a career. We married in 1965 and have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Being a military wife and stay at home mom I did many different crafts. I took cake-decorating classes in Guam, started sewing in California and began quilting in North Carolina.
I took my first acrylic painting class in 1995. At the insistence of my sister Audrey, I joined the National Society of Decorative Painters in 1996. That same year a new painting chapter was starting up here in Melbourne, Fl. and I joined. Best thing I ever did!!! Since joining the chapter, I have been very involved. I have held the offices of Telephone Chairman, Treasurer for two years and am currently in my second year as 1st Vice President/Ways and Means Chairman. I have met so many wonderful and talented people. Painting Pals are the best.
I was introduced to pen and ink and oil rouging when Mary Owens came to our chapter for a two-day seminar. It was great, and I was hooked. I took Mary’s Certification Class in Raleigh, N. C. in September 2001. I am now proud to be a CMOT. I’ve just started teaching and love every minute of it.
