Sharon is a native of West Virginia and now resides in Knoxville, Tennessee.  After a career with the Department of Defense (Air Force), she and her husband moved to Tennessee.

Sharon began her painting career in acrylics in 1993.  From acrylics she moved to watercolors and then to oils.   She is a certified teacher both in oils and acrylics and now proud to be a CMOT.

Sharon is a member of the Society of Decorative Painters and belongs to the local chapter, Rocky Top, where she has served as Treasurer.  She also is a member of Artists United.

Sharon has been teaching for the past three years in her home studio, as well as local art establishments and in Georgia and South Carolina with Artists United.  She will be teaching at the Heart of Ohio Tole (HOOT) in August 2004 for the first time.
