After painting for commission and enjoyment through a self-taught method, opportunities to study under several national and international teacher became available. Doors began to open in 1986. Since that time, Yvonne has become a Travel-teacher. She holds classes in Oils, Watercolor, Acrylic and Fabrics throughout the eastern United States and parts of western U.S.A. Yvonne is a member in good standing of the National Society of Decorative Painters,
Arts Camden, The Florida Writers’ Association, the Mary Owens CMOT’s, and The Decorative Artists of Jacksonville (Fl)., as well as T.E.A.M. A new line of pattern packets has recently be released under the new logos, Cracker Swamp Art and Island Treasurers from Designs, Etc. Yvonne’s work has been published by Clapper Publications of Des Moines, Iowa, Decorative Painter Magazine and Plaid enterprises, Inc. of Norcross, Georgia.
