          After conducting our certification program for several years, I have gotten many requests for a program that would cover techniques involved with inking and oil rouging. So many students want to delve into the technique aspect of this enjoyable art form, but do not have the desire to teach it or use it as a business endeavor.  I have put a lot of thought into what would be involved with this and my conclusions are as follows:

Ø      This will involve 4 days. The cost is $450.00, with a deposit of $150.00 upon signing up for the seminar. The balance is due at the time of the seminar.

Ø      There is a textbook that is compiled for reference of every facet of the technique.  This would include pen care, brush choices and care, prepping different surfaces, understanding the inking technique, and all of the steps involved with rouging, including color mixing.

Ø      Included in the cost of the seminar are all projects, prepping materials, textbook, pattern packets, and anything else included in the prepping of surfaces.

Ø      There are 5 projects that will cover all of the techniques used in inking as well as rouging.

Ø      Attendees that are coming in from out of town and for instance are flying in can reserve a projector for class use at no extra charge.

Ø      Regarding materials for class; students will be responsible for bringing in their own paints, pens, inks, and brushes, etc. as well as the KA300 projector.  There will be a list of required materials provided for you upon placing your deposit for the seminar.  If you want to make specific purchases for the class, we will have product available a la cart. So, if you decide you would like to have a brand new pen for class, or add different blender sizes to your collection, you can purchase at the seminar!

Ø      There is a focus on designing.  There is a section in the textbook that will cover creating designs from photos or snippits. Participants will be able to take the DESIGN CHALLENGE!! [Details will be discussed in class!]
