I love birdhouses! I can picture lots of different ways to create patterns from pictures taken while I am out and about! TREES COMPANY was designed from a really unique birdhouse built by George Boerboom from Monroe Michigan. Linda [his wife] owns a wonderful porcelain studio in her home and I was conducting a pen and ink class there. We all went out into her back yard to spray our canvas pieces and I saw this wonderful structure. I had mentioned that it would make a really great pen and ink design and Tina Wiese went out and got me a photo! That was all it took to create this packet. I popped it into the projector, traced it and everything came together wonderfully! The patterns for tracing are in the folded pamphlet that is packaged on the front section of the case. We review pen care and maintenance, prepping different types of surfaces, and step by step instruction regarding the ink as well as adding the rouging.
