Decorative painting has become a necessity in my life, using every spare minute to allow myself to create.  I have been involved in decorative painting since 1985 but have explored the art world with my love of art since a child.

     In January 2002, I was finally able to get to a detailed study seminar for a week in sunny Clearwater, Florida with Mary Owens.  I was also fortunate enough to complete the Ultimate Design Seminar.  I just couldn't get enough of her technique.  In months to come, I found myself at other seminars in Canton, Ohio and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  In January 2003, I flew off to Florida to take a week of intense study at a Certification Class in Kissimmee.  Several days after class was over I hopped in my rental car and drove to Port St. Lucie, Florida to another seminar.  In March 2003 I flew to Atlanta, Georgia and drove down to Warner Robins, Georgia to finish my certification.  Passing  certification and becoming a CMOT was an exciting time in my life and I am very proud to have the opportunity to learn from her and be affiliated with Mary Owens Designs.  I currently have my own designs copyrighted and have pattern packets which I could never have accomplished without Mary's encouragement.

     This technique is easy to learn and so relaxing to do and very satisfying when you see your end results.  I am willing to teach anyone who wants to learn this technique.  I have all of Mary Owens patterns, videos and products available for order at my e-mail address, tol_art@hotmail.com
