Diane Guley, residing in Elma, Washington is an Artist and a Teacher. Diane has been interested in art since she was about 8 years old, when she was drawing her favorite comic book characters.
Since she sold her accounting business, art has been a major part of Diane's life. She has taken many classes in various mediums, and has been certified in other types of art. She teaches basic artistic design and composition at a local Michael's Store and a Jo-Ann's Super Store with an emphasis on making painting a fun experience for the student.
Diane recently found Mary Owens's Pen & Ink with Oil Rouging method of painting, and has found it very exciting. She feels honored to have been able to assist Mary at a two-day seminar in New York, and to be allowed to assist Mary when she teaches at the National Convention of Decorative Artists in Phoenix, Arizona in May 2004.
Diane's portraits that are done in pencil are self-taught, and are a very recent endeavor. Diane is holding a portrait that she had done in pencil, using Mary's KopyKake projector and then used Mary's method of oil rouging to colorize it. Diane plans to develop pattern packets in the future. She can be contacted by email or telephone for more information about classes.
