My name is Linda Martin and my husband and I live in Columbia, MS. We have seven grandchildren so we stay pretty busy.
I have painted on and off since 1971 and It was not until I took a Mary Owens Class from Kathleen Shirer that I knew I had found what type of painting I was looking for. I loved it, in fact the Saturday before Katrina I did a pen and ink with oil rouging at Kathleen's studio that is so pretty.
My family and friends encouraged me to go to Buffalo, NY to meet Mary and Cindi and get certified to teach Mary's Pen and Ink with Oil rouging. I had never gone that far away from home before, so for my birthday off I went ! I learned so much! Met 16 other ladies from all over the USA and Canada that had the same interest as I did. In March I went to Baton Rouge, LA
to finish my certification. That following November, for my birthday, once again I found my way to Reno, NV to paint with another group of Mary 's pen and ink with oil rouging ladies. Once again I learned so much!
I teach in Meridian, MS at the Senior Citizens Center one Saturday a month and I teach here in Columbia, MS at 242 West Church Street at my studio. My studio would have never come to be with out all the help from my family.

I teach one class a month at my studio because I still have a full time job.
Mary's Pen and Ink with Oil Rouging is very contagious! I have two teen age grandsons that paint, my daughter Allison, My daughter in law Terri, my niece Alecia and my sister Kay even my son in law Corey have started to paint.
