I come from Chestermere, a fast growing town just east of Calgary. I reside there with my husband Jim and two pets Ginger and Brandi (Shitzu/Bichon cross). We have two grown children who live in Calgary.

I have been decorative painting for seven years; mainly in acrylics.  I have dabbled with oils for the past 18 months, taking classes from Jo Allan of Calgary.  I belong to a NSDP local chapter called "Calgary Decorative Artists". This has been an asset in learning, not only from seminars offered but also in friendships made over the past six years.

I have attended three conventions; two at the Creative Painting in Las Vegas and one at the Calgary Paint In, always trying new mediums to expand on my skills. My first opportunity to experience the pen & ink with oil rouging was fall of 1998; from there I took Mary's certification program in June of 1999, in South Carolina.  I feel very confident with the technique and have completed several classes in my home studio.
