Carol Adams 348 CR 542E Bushnell, FL 33513 [352] 568-1907 carads@embarqmail.com
I started acrylic painting in 1990 while stationed in San Diego, CA. I moved to FL in 1992 and continued taking lessons and painting. I took a class with Mary Owens at Extrav in 1995 and fell in love with her technique. Every chance I got I took classes with Mary. It was great. When hearing that the certification program with Mary Owens was being offered, I decided this was what I wanted to do. I was one of the first 14 certified by Mary in Panama City Beach FL. I started teaching in 1999 at my studio in Bushnell, FL after much encouragement from my cousin Sherrie (who was teaching One-Stroke in my studio) and her students. Mary has said: "She has a wonderful demeanor with her students. Her gentle, caring approach makes her students feel comfortable. She enjoys success with her classes mainly because of the relaxed atmosphere she generates. Carol attended the Extrav convention in Lakeland, FL in March 1999. She assisted Mary with several of the other certification participants in the special program (THE SEMINAR IN THE ROUND). In this event she demonstrated her expertise in regard to the ink and oil rouging technique."
I taught at Pookie Bear's Den in Leesburg, FL before it closed.
I'm a member of the Florida Suncoast Decorative Artists from Tampa, FL and a member of the Society of Decorative Painters.
I enjoy teaching and currently teach Pen & Ink with Oil Rouging at my studio in Bushnell, FL I also travel teach to different areas in Florida on request.
