I was born and raised in Calgary Alberta.  I was introduced to Decorative Painting 7 years ago by my sister and was immediately hooked.  My painting knowledge began to really expand four years ago when I moved to Burlington, Ontario.  My initial interest was in acrylics, but when I took my first class in Oils with Barb Jenkins of Harbour Craft I fell in love with the medium.  My interest soon led me on a trip to California where I was lucky enough to spend a week studying Oils with Cheri Rol. 

I was next introduced to Oil Rouging and was very interested in this technique.  That led me to Mary Owens teacher certification program which I took in September 2001.  Later, I completed my CMOT certification in April, 2002 helping to teach at one of Mary’s workshops in Calgary, Alberta.  Since then, I have taught Oil Rouging classes both in my home and at Harbour Craft.
