This pattern is designed on a porcelain dish. I used Etching Creme to remove the glaze on the china plate to reveal the beautiful porcelain underneath!  The pattern packet gives the complete instructions for the process and uses my pen and ink and rouging to add color.  This design is currently being used in my certification course but is released for purchase now.

As a seminar choice:  This project includes 3 mediums; pen and ink, oil rouging and acrylic paint!  Students can bring in a china plate in a neutral color and we will use the etching creme in class to remove the glaze.  The design is inked on and students can bring in any size that measures approximately 8-12 inches in diameter.  According to the notes in the portfolio; materials students need to bring to class are listed.  This is a full-day project choice.  If using my opaque projectors in class, we can size the design to fit almost any size plate.
