HOPE YOU ARE ENJOYING YOUR SUMMER!
We have been very busy, but July has brought us a bit of a lull, and that is great with the grandkids being home for the summer! Ralph and I are enjoying his being retired, but, to tell you the truth, he is busier than ever helping Cindi with the website and lots of data entry! He just tells people that he switched jobs! Lynn keeps him busy in the office as well with helping her fill mail orders! The office seems to be getting smaller with 4 of us in it these days!!
We are getting ready for the Houston convention coming up next week! Cindi and I will be at the trade show, and I am teaching 2 different classes that week. It is getting harder and harder to pack to travel by plane. Now that most airlines are restricting everyone to one checked bag, you have to be really picky about packing and prioritizing [hmmmm, let’s see…clothes or paint brushes!!?] Consequently, we are shipping ahead more, and that takes a bit of planning ahead as well!
We had some bad news to pass on to everyone this past month. Cheryl Perkins is one our certified teachers as well as our representative in Brantford, Ontario [along with being a really good and close friend!!]. We held our certification reunion at her shop the weekend of the 13th of June. That following Monday her wonderful husband Mark passed away very suddenly. He was a great guy, and truly Cheryl’s soul mate. He went to dinner with us the Saturday night before our last day of reunion, so we got to spend some time with him. Cheryl is doing well, and our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. Please keep Cheryl in your thoughts and prayers.
